Raised on equal parts Ray Bradbury and Jane Austen, it's no wonder Rebecca grew up to write romantic sci-fi stories. She draws on her majors in Psychology and Religious Studies from Rice University to investigate our modern way of life through the lens of near-future possibilities.
Rebecca splits her time between writing books for young adults and giving away books to young children, through Books From Birth, a nonprofit she founded to help close the opportunity gap for underserved kids in the high-poverty area where she lives.
She believes in the power of stories to change lives.
